Alpharetta Real Estate And City Profile Information
    by Jennifer Giraldi

    Alpharetta City Info

    • Alpharetta, GA is located about 20 miles north of Atlanta.

    • The city's current population as of 2000 was about 34,854.

    • Crime levels are way below the state and national averages.

    • Humid summers and mild-cold winters, below average rainfall.

    • Parks, shopping, and great schools compliment this great city.

    Shopping & Entertainment

Alpharetta, Georgia is close enough to Atlanta for the residents to enjoy all that the big city has to offer. Concerts, shows, museums, and more are plentiful in downtown Atlanta. Along with everything Atlanta has to offer, a quick look around Alpharetta will take you through, plenty of parks, shopping, and beautiful homes in a suburban settings. Wills Parkand the Green-Way are two very popular parks that have everything a family needs for a great day of fun. The city has just started construction of it's own amphitheater. No longer will residents have to commute to downtown Atlanta to see shows and concerts.

    Education and Schools

The public school system is managed by the Fulton County school system. Many of the schools in Fulton County, including Alpharetta, have enjoyed great ratings on GreatSchools.net High attendance, low student-teacher ratios, and high test scores have all contributed to that. The city is also the home to DeVry University and the Chubb Institute. These schools are some of the top technical colleges in the North Georgia area.

    Alpharetta Real Estate information

Homes for sale in Alpharetta typically sell within 3-6 months, depending on the real estate market at the time. Homes are usually built with a traditional look, although craftsman style are becoming quite popular. Alpharetta real estate has really taken off over the last 3-5 years due to the massive population boom. Home prices have been steadily increasing which has made the city a sound investment for home buyers. I would highly recommend this pristine city in North Fulton County.
